As October rolls in, Kennedy is getting ready for a series of exciting Halloween events and fall activities to engage with the students and community.
The festivities kick off with the annual Halloween Door Contest, running from October 7 to October 31. Classes are invited to decorate their doors in the spirit of Halloween, with a prize of donuts for the winning class.
Following this, the Harvest Festival and Halloween maze is set for October 25, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM. This event will feature a variety of food options, mazes, and booths, making it a fun evening for all.
Joshua Zweig, School Climate Advocate who’s in charge of all the events coming up, encourages everyone to join in the festivities. “Everyone and anyone is welcome to come to the festival,” he said, inviting all community members to participate. He emphasized that this event is designed to bring people together, fostering a spirit of community and celebration during this time of year.
On October 31, Kennedy will host its Halloween Costume Contest during lunch on the quad, open to all students. Participants can showcase their costumes for a chance to win candy. Zweig said, “There are no specific requirements, but anyone who enters their costume must be school-appropriate.”
With a lineup of activities that are for various interests, Kennedy’s Halloween and fall events are ready to bring the community together throughout October.
