Soccer is overrated. Listen, just because I say it’s overrated doesn’t mean that I don’t like to watch it. People get influenced too easily. Don’t watch or play it just because everybody knows soccer; do it if you’re good or decent. If you asked me, “Hey, what should I watch today?” I would respond with “Watch some waterpolo; it’s good to see others with stamina you don’t have.”
I’m just playing obviously, but you can’t lie, soccer is everywhere. Why? Because it’s so simple; the skills you need to play it are simple: you run, just run. If you wanna be a little more specific, you run with a ball. Now listen to this, the movie Early Man. To explain it simply, the characters are dumb, simple and naive and have a lack of understanding for soccer, but yet still play it for the fate of their Stone Ages tribes. In other words, that is how I see soccer. People just play it because it is played everywhere and doesn’t require much.
Soccer in general is a game with a low-scoring nature. Even so, it is such a slow-paced game. A game could have you all excited, then they miss, by like a pibble. It is crazy. On average two to three goals are scored in a game that takes more than an hour! This is such a con to people who like games with more frequent scoring. Thus, if you were to focus on why soccer is overrated based on its strategies and tactics, it is its limited variety in game patterns. More than likely you see defense ‘high press” offense or defense “park the bus” to make it harder for offense. That’s boring.
Soccer is such an overrated sport, why find the need to play it and receive many health risks and more severe things, such as concussions? Even with this, viewers who see that referees make calls that are unfair get annoyed, yet you still watch it. It’s like complaining about doing something, and still doing it…It’s an overrated sport.
Instead, acknowledge and participate in other sports; in fact, when you play other sports, you easily come to appreciate the sport. For example, do you know the work that goes into competitive swimming? What about waterpolo or badminton? So, how do I say this simply, diversify? Play those sports and others: there’s hockey, basketball, and figure skating, like common figure skating is such a one of a kind creative sport.
