i-Ready testing is a key part of the academic program at JFK High School. It is an adaptive assessment that helps teachers understand each student’s individual learning needs. It is important that students do well to be put in classes which are not too challenging or too simple. After completing the diagnostic test students, depending on their score, have the option, “My Path.” The My Path lessons are digital mini sections of the subjects English or Math. Other times teachers can assign lessons to students.
John F Kennedy High School Freshman Christian Cota said, ”When my teacher assigns tasks on My Path, it’s a great way for me to catch up on what I’ve missed without disturbing the class.”

Freshman at Kennedy High School Sajan Sholy said,”I find i-Ready diagnostic pretty pointless because it feels like it doesn’t accurately measure my abilities. The questions can be really confusing, and sometimes they’re about stuff I haven’t even learned yet. It just makes me more stressed out than anything.”
