The movie Transformers One is an entirely different Transformers movie that sets
up the origin story for the Transformers world. It shows us that long before the bad blood
between Optimus Prime and Megatron, they were best friends who were miners that gave
energy to their planet, Cybertron. After they accidentally find the key to energy for their world,
they set off on an adventure. They go along with Bumblebee and Elita 1, and viewers later see
the big things they cause.
The script is very well written, and it has good storytelling aspects with an overall good
story. As explained before, the story follows a fun adventure, and it felt well paced throughout
the whole movie.
The voice acting is also a strong part of the movie, as they did a very great job casting
the characters. The delivery was also very good, and I never noticed any weak points with the
voice acting.
The animation is very double edged, because it is able to build and turn the universe into
something that feels real, but at other moments it feels very cheap and like a children’s movie.
The action was very good in this film, and being a Transformers film there was not a lack
of action. Another reason the action was very strong in the movie is because of the creative and
different ways the Transformers used their transformations in the action scenes.
Some themes found in this film are centered around sacrifice and friends to enemies.
They are explored throughout the movie, and the story revolves around friends to enemies.
I think that many old fans will love this movie, besides it being a great movie, it has a lot of
throwbacks and cameos to older Transformers media. However, this does not mean that new
fans will not be able to enjoy this movie.
As said before, the storytelling, voice acting, action, and much more was very strong in this movie. The only reason to not watch this movie is if you want to see the Transformers look real, because as said before the animation is mixed in this movie. I do believe that many fans will love this movie because at the end of the day, the action and fights are a thrilling bit of fun that will leave many satisfied. I would recommend this movie to most people, and I think it deserves a very good 4/5.
